When NCUA conserved WesCorp and USCentral on March 20, this unprecedented action changed the course of history—and not for the better.  In the following days, hundreds of credit unions responded to commentary and analysis on CreditUnions.com addressing the ramifications of this decision.

Many messages observed, “Thank you for continuing to voice our concerns.”   However, it is not our voice, but your voice that matters most in the long run.  Credit Unions Rising is designed to do just that: amplify each credit union’s voice on important issues facing the industry. While the immediate issue is the future of the Corporate system, there are more changes afoot in Washington that promise to impact the credit union industry.

Now is the time to join in the reshaping of the credit union movement to not only address current issues, but other concerns that will arise in the future.  Natural person credit unions are the bedrock of the movement. Every other organization in the movement depends on you for their continued well being, indeed survival.

Credit Unions Rising is a vibrant, open forum for the entire industry.  However, managing the site and providing updated analysis, education and networking opportunities does cost money. Therefore, to maintain the site for a minimum of the next six months, we ask you to consider a suggested donation, based on your credit union’s asset size:

• Under $100 million in assets          $500
• $100-250 million                            $1,000
• $250-500 million                            $1,500
• $500-1.0 billion                              $2,000
• Greater than $1.0 billion                 $2,500
